Brian Head, Utah- After a solid season, the southernmost ski resort in Utah is planning to spin its lifts into May.

Yesterday, Brian Head Resort announced that its new projected closing date is May 5th. This is a dramatic extension, as Brian Head originally planned to remain open until April 14th. So far this season, the Utah ski resort has received 211 inches of snow, and 7″ in the past 24 hours. While that’s not as deep as last season, it’s still an ample amount of powder.

Starting on April 15th, lift operations for the late season will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Snow tubing, and night skiing operations will be shut down for the season starting on April 15th. Lessons will be available past April 14th but only on a limited scale.

“We’re excited to keep the fun going with bluebird days, spring skiing, and events through closing day on May 5,” said Amber Palmer, the marketing manager at Brian Head Resort. “We want to express our sincere appreciation to our staff and guests for making these bonus weeks possible.”

As part of this season extension, Brian Head will be having a variety of deals. From now until the end of the 2023-24 season, the Utah ski resort is offering $25 rentals, $100 afternoon group beginner lessons, and a $10 resort credit with online adult lift ticket purchases as part of its World’s Best Spring Break campaign. As is the case with other ski resorts with Mountain Capital Partners, lift tickets can be very cheap if you purchase in advance, starting as low as $19.
