CRESTED BUTTE, Colorado – We’ve seen what it looks like a professional skier takes on Rambo at Crested Butte (mainly Drew Petersen, he’s always rippin’ it up) but what does it look like when a regular skier takes on the legendary trail?

Now let me be clear, the videographer and subject of this video, Todd Matthews, is definitely more than your average skier. If you take the time to explore the rest of his YouTube channel, you’d see that he clearly knows what he’s doing. But, like most of us probably would be, he’s not just pointing it down Rambo and shredding it up. He’s taking his time, figuring out his way down.

Rambo is the steepest in-bounds tree-cut run in North America. Now matter how good of aa skier you may be, it’s 55-degree pitch, exposed rocks, trees, and major moguls are sure to pucker you up (at least a little bit). It’s probably not something that would be considered one of the best runs in North America, rather just one of the steepest.

If you do want to see what it looks like when a professional takes on the trail, take a peak at Drew Petersen’s social media. He likes to take a lap of the nightmare slope every once in a while. Also, if you’re watching this thinking “that’s easy” than do it. Let’s see it. Share the video. Actions speak a lot louder than words.
