A couple of British royals spent Valentine’s Day in Whistler, BC where Prince Harry tried out adaptive skiing to promote next year’s Invictus Games, the first time it will involve winter sports. Founded in 2014, The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans:

“The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will offer a global platform to expand the range and profile of winter adaptive sports. With deep respect, I’m also pleased to share that the Games in Canada will be held in partnership with the First Nations, in the spirit of truth and reconciliation with indigenous communities.” –Prince Harry

Harry and Meghan get a ton of heat about their various media pursuits but this one we can all support. Showing up to Whistler with a full on film crew might seem a bit conceited but if its to benefit veterans than we say go for it.
