Vancouver’s largest ski resort has gotten creative in the face of extremely low snow levels and has asked guests to put in a bit of legwork to enjoy the mountain. Cypress Mountain Resort is still operating thanks to a strategy that requires skiers and snowboarders to walk between two chairlifts and download at the end of the day rather than riding to the bottom. New data shows local mountains in the area have 60% less snow than normal, so coming up with unique solutions like Cypress is currently critical to maintain profitability in the ski business. Might be a bit of a pain but better than not skiing wouldn’t you say?
