Tragic news out of Northern British Columbia whre three people died in a helicopter crash Monday afternoon.

Northern Escape Heli Skiing said three people were killed when one of its Augusta A119 Koala helicopters crashed in the mountains sometime around 4 p.m. Additional information about the people who died has not been released:

BC Emergency Health Services deployed multiple primary care, advanced care, and critical care paramedics, including three air ambulances and five ground ambulances, to assist in the rescue. Four patients were transported to Mills Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
