You won’t believe it, but ski resorts in North Carolina have been getting lots of snowfall lately. This included various snowstorms over the past week.

During one of these storms, heavy snowfall led to not well-paved roads, which led inexperienced drivers to struggle, making the roads impassable. CBS 17 caught up with Jake McCoun, who described the sketchy experience. Due to the roads and the lack of gas in the car, they had to pull over and stop in the parking lot of the Alpine Ski Center, presuming that they would have to sleep in their cars for the night.

When they arrived at the parking lot, they decided to try and go in and use their bathroom. To the family’s surprise, Kevin, who’s the shop manager, allowed them to use the bathroom and stay over for the evening. The Alpine Ski Center housed over thirty people that night. While the arrangements weren’t comfortable, they saved people a much more uncomfortable night in their cars.
