One of New Hampshire’s most notorious animals is the moose. Unlike bears, moose don’t hibernate during the wintertime. According to the Denali Education Center, during the cold weather months, they eat what’s remaining on the trees, which includes the bark. This, along with their thick fur coats that protect against the cold, results in them still being visible to humans throughout the wintertime.

Over the past couple of weeks, multiple moose sightings have occurred at Gunstock Mountain Resort. The first was reported by Gunstock last week, with the moose being spotted chilling on the Flintrock trail, which features impressive views of Lake Winnipesaukee. No word on whether the mosse got their pass pulled for breaking the rules.

This week, another moose was spotted at Gunstock Mountain Resort. Kim Ellsworth sent a video to WMUR showing a moose checking out the fresh powder that just came through. This time, the moose was spotted on the Panorama chairlift’s lift line. Whether this was the same moose is uncertain, but it seems like there’s something about Gunstock that moose enjoy. Could it be due to Gunstock having a Waffle Cabin?
