On Thursday, the KT-22 terrain pod at Palisades Tahoe remained closed due to the risk brought forth by Wednesday’s avalanche.

To scope out the damage, KCRA took out their LiveCopter3 on Thursday to see what remained of the major KT-22 avalanche side.

Reporter Brian Hickey spotted what he believed to be the crown and slide path down the G.S. Gully. He also found the area where most of the search and rescue operations occurred. In addition, Brian, who is an advanced skier, told a story about the avalanche he got caught in at Kirkwood a couple of decades ago.
