A couple of weeks ago, we posted about a video showing off Ronin Skis, a ski company based out of Chamonix that allows customers to go through the process of building your own skis. They’re not just custom to your desires, they’re literally built by you. The video was posted by YouTuber and IFMGA guide Dave Searle, and while it was pretty sweet, we only got to see the first part of the build.

Fortunately part two was uploaded today, so we can now see the entire ski building process from start to finish. This whole experience seems super cool. If you’re planning a trip to Chamonix in the near future, and you’re set to have a few days, definitely consider shooting Jonno at Ronin Skis an email (info@roninskis.com).

In this video I finish off my custom build of Ronin 108 LTE skis, including tuning the bases and edges and skiing them over at the Skyway in Italy. At the end I give you my thoughts on these skis, reveal the bindings that I have mounted, skins I chose and my special message etched on the side of my skis.

Seriously though, how cool would it be to have your own, custom made skis that you built? Imagine someone asking “where’d you get those skis” on the lift and being able to respond “oh these? I built them myself.” Definitely a cool opportunity for anyone to experience.

If you haven’t seen the first part of the building process, make sure to give it a watch. It’s quite a bit longer and covers much more of the shop work required to get the perfect set of custom skis (everything leading up to the skis going into the press).
