Yesterday, Wild Mountain became the second ski area in the Midwest to begin its 2023-24 season. After Andes Tower Hills opened on Saturday, Wild Mountain in Taylor Falls, Minnesota opened for the season on Monday at 1 p.m. This was possible thanks to a cold stretch over the past few days. They’ve been making snow on the Front Stage and Expressway trails.

On Monday, they opened the Front Stage rope tow for some park laps. The Front Stage terrain park had six features for opening day, which is a solid setup for October. For their first day, Wild Mountain was open from 1-7 p.m. They opened up Chair 1 on Tuesday, with the Expressway trail now available for ripping. The Front Stage terrain park now has eight features.

Tickets for this week are only $25. They will remain open from 1-7 p.m. until the Minnesota ski area is able to grow their open terrain or warm weather comes in and melts the snow. Based on the upcoming weather forecast, they should be operating for at least a couple more days.
