After Ski Ward in Massachusetts was the first to have it-serviced operations for the 2023-24 season last Sunday, more mountains are following suit. Today, Andes Tower Hills in Minnesota announced that their Turtle Express Magic Carpet lift would be spinning until 1 p.m. They will be reopening tomorrow from noon to 4 p.m., with the Turtle Express running, and the addition of some terrain park features.

The surprise opening was likely in response to last October. This was when it seemed like they were going to be the first to open in North America, but Wild Mountain came in at the last minute and snatched the title.

In terms of what ski area/resort will be next to open, Arapahoe Basin is likely on deck.
