This week, the world lost a skiing legend. BioBioChile.cl reports that Tof Henry was among the two people killed in an accident on the Puntiagudo Volcano. According to Freeskier, the other victim has been identified as Juan Senoret, who was a UIAGM/IFGA Chilean mountain guide. The cause of death for the two people was that they fell off a cliff. Why they jumped off the cliff is currently under investigation. Another person was injured but was able to descend under his own power.

Raised in Chamonix, Christophe (Tof) Henry was known as one of the best all-mountain skiers on the planet. He was known for his steep skiing expeditions, taking on the gnarliest lines on the planet. In 2018, Tof won the Powder Awards for Breakout Performance and Best Line. He had been an Armada athlete for the past eleven years, with him being featured in numerous ski films from them.

Here’s his athlete description from Armada:

Tof, the legend straight out of Chamonix, is one-of-a-kind. With wrecking ball power and eyewatering speeds, Tof absolutely charges legitimate mountaineering lines, fully pinned where other great skiers are jump turning and sideslipping. He’s flat-out changed the game in steep skiing. Behind the scenes he’s helped Armada develop skis like his signature Declivity X and the Locator Series that live up to his incomparably high standards.

In honor of Tef, we’ve attached two Armada films that featured him. The first is This is Armada: Tof Henry, which documents his relationship with the ski brand. The second is Born In Chamonix, which features Tof Henry and Daniel Ronnback taking on some insane lines at one of the world’s most iconic skiing destinations.

We here at Unofficial Networks send our condolences to Tof & Juans’ family and friends during this challenging time.
