We don’t hear much about abandoned ski resorts in Japan, so this video is pretty unique.
The video from YouTuber Reece’s in Pieces shows a group going up the mountain in a vintage snowcat, and then getting some sweet powder turns. The chairlift is still standing, but the chairs have been removed. The abandoned ski resort wasn’t named in the video, but it appears to have varied terrain and spectacular views.
It’s pretty cool footage overall, although I’m not a fan of the person spraying the fire extinguisher all around one of the buildings. Leaving no trace is a major key to holding onto special places like this.
