There are few people in this world who crush as hard as the guys that run up and down the Red Rocks concert venue. The hardest of the hard are the guys who run down Red Rocks backwards. Seriously, they are no joke. It’s not like they’re running on regular stairs, either. The seating at Red Rocks looks like steps, but they’re about three to four times as wide as your typical stair and probably about twice as tall (don’t quote me on that, I haven’t been there in a few months).
If you’re ever in the Denver area in the warmer months, take a trip to Red Rocks in the morning and there’s a decent chance you’ll see one or two of these guys booking it up and down the venue. If you’re ballsy enough (and fit enough), you can try the workout yourself, just don’t do what this guy did:
I honestly don’t know what to say to this. It looks brutal. The important thing is, he seems rather alright after the incident. I can’t be 100% certain, but this definitely seems like Slavic, or “Beast”. He’s an ultra runner who’s typically known as the guy who runs backwards at Red Rocks.

Are they probably doing it mostly to show off? For sure. But if you’re that good at sending it down stairs at Red Rocks, I think you’ve earned the right to show off quite a bit. Be honest with yourself, you’ll probably never be able to do what this guy can do. If anyone’s earned the nickname “Beast”, it’s Slavic.
