SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Three skiers were reported missing Thursday morning after an avalanche in Utah’s Little Cottonwood Canyon. According to KUTV, rescue crews from the Unified Fire Department, in addition to crews from Sandy and Draper fire departments, were on the scene.

The avalanche occured near the Alta ski area. Unified Police Department, the US Forest Service and Wasatch Backcountry Rescue are also in attendance for assistance.
