Early season snow can be irresistible to skiers and snowboarders looking to get a jump on the season but we just want to warn folks that thin snowpacks often hide rocks and other obstacles that can take you out of the game before winter even sets in. The following video comes from last February at Big Sky and while this mid-winter, it was a nasty collision with a snow covered rock pile that took this dude out.
