“Hey everyone! Just wanted to give you all a heads-up about Jeeps on the Mountain, sponsored by Turpin Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM this Saturday. The layout this year is going to be a long and winding trail that’s perfect for off-roading and sightseeing.”

If you own an offroad capable vehicle and live in the midwest consider heading out to Sundown Mountain Resort in Dubuque, Iowa to participate in their Jeeps on the Mountain event this Friday and Saturday. They have expanded their trails for this year’s rally and the day will include family friendly activities, live music and of course some sweet terrain to put your truck to the test.  $30 to get a pass for your rig. Jeeps On The Mountain, sponsored by Turpin Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM, is BACK on October 13th-14th! Enjoy LIVE music, food trucks, primitive camping, off-roading designated mountain trails, obstacles, and activities for the kids, including the Power Wheels Crawler Course, a raffle benefitting the Veterans Freedom Center, lawn games, and more! All 4×4 Jeeps, military vehicles, Broncos, Scouts, K5s, Land Rovers, Toyotas, expedition and safari vehicles are welcome!

Briskets & Gravy Breakfast Benefiting the Veterans Freedom Center: Grillbilly’s BBQ and Sundown Mountain Resort are collaborating to bring you a TASTY fundraising event! Join us before the trails open for breakfast at 9 AM for your choice of briskets and gravy or sausage and gravy for only $10! $2 of every order will be donated to the Veterans Freedom Center in Dubuque. The Veterans Freedom Center helps and assists tri-state active duty, retired, reserve, and honorably discharged veterans. CLICK HERE to reserve your breakfast entrée.

Power Wheels Crawler Course: The Power Wheels Crawler Course is for kids ages 3-10.  Each participant must provide their own Power Wheels car/truck and helmet. Helmets must be worn. In addition, a minor’s waiver and release must be completed by the parents before the event. This is available at the gate. Plus, we’ll have other activities for the kids, including a Giant Bubble Station, Chalk The Walk, games, and more!

Note: Any regular electric standard-size Power Wheels vehicle is allowed with the following restrictions: no ATV, quad, motorcycle, etc. type vehicles allowed on the Power Wheels Kids Track; child’s legs must be in a compartment; any vehicle deemed to be unsafe will not be permitted. Each participant must provide their own Power Wheels car/truck and helmet. Helmets must be worn.

3 PM: North Lodge opens, serving drinks and pizza

Saturday:
9:00 AM: Gates open, Briskets & Gravy Breakfast Benefiting the Veteran’s Freedom Center begin serving
10 AM-Dusk: Trail open
10 AM-6 PM: Vendor & Activity Area, Kids Zone, and Power Wheels Crawler Course open
11 AM: Food Trucks begin serving
Noon-4 PM: Live music from Shannon Woulfe at the Vendor & Activity Area
4 PM-8 PM: Live music from Joe Valenti inside the North Lodge

Sunday:
Noon: Campsite closes

Admission to the grounds:
Kids 14 & under: FREE
Ages 15 & Older: $10

Trail Pass per vehicle/rig & driver’s admission: $30

Primitive Camping/site: $15/night
Limited Trailside Camping is available at the base of our hill for camping (one vehicle/one tent) for Friday, October 13th, and Saturday, October 14th. We will have a separate designated campsite at the top of the hill for RV campers in our Easy Access Camping Area. Primitive camping sites only.
