I’ve known a few professional boot fitters in my day and a major part of their job is gently letting folks know that no matter what, there’s a level of discomfort that parallels performance and there’s not really anyway around it. They can certainly use their institutional knowledge to work a bit of magic addressing hotspots and such but when it comes down to it, ski boots are an unavoidable pain in the butt that we endure for the love of the sport.
