Brian Head Resort has announced that their projected opening date is set for November 10th. Brian Head is typically one of the first to open in Utah, as last season, they opened back on November 4th, so they’ll move it up if they get a lot of snow. The Utah ski resort’s projected closing date is April 14th.
This season will see various improvements at Brian Head. In my opinion, the biggest addition is the new glades. New gladed skiing has been added under the Wildflower Lift. These glades will have route options for skiers and riders of all skill levels. In addition, the Shotgun trail, which is located nearby the Giant Steps Express chairlift, has also received some glading this summer.
Other improvements include more snowmaking coverage on the Lower Aught trail, a new SnowCat PistenBully 400 Groomer, and a renovation of the pool and outdoor living spaces areas to the Brian Head Lodge. The hotel has 100 guest rooms, which include 12 suites; the Noorish Spa; and amenities like the business center, a private rental space, a fitness center, a restaurant, a bar, an indoor pool, and an outdoor hot tub.
For lift tickets, Brian Head has some solid deals. Tickets are currently priced as low as $29 for adults, while kids 12 and under ski for free every day. New this season, Brian Head Resort offers first-timers a free on-snow experience with the purchase of an adult lift ticket (13 and older). Kids 12 and under always ski and ride for free, so first-timers can also get a free on-snow experience with the Power Kids season pass. The free on-snow experience is a series of self-guided, step-by-step clinics to prepare guests for their time on the snow. As guests move through learning stations, instructors provide personalized tips along the way, leading to quicker skill acquisition and a deeper understanding of the fundamentals.
In terms of promotions, guests can get a free night this upcoming season at Brian Head Lodge with a unique lift ticket and lodging package. In addition, guests receive a $10 resort credit when purchasing lift tickets in advance during select time periods (holidays excluded). The credit can be used to buy food and beverages, lessons, and retail items at Brian Head Resort shops and restaurants.
