Beaver Mountain’s rustic base area facilities are getting an upgrade. The family-owned Utah ski resort is working on a new base lodge this summer.

According to HJ News, the 25,000-square-foot lodge will have a café, retail shop, rental space, snow sports school meeting area, a locker room, and a ticket office. They will also be building a new parking lot with 110 spaces. The new lodge will be called Marge’s Cabin, which is named after one of the original owners.

On Monday, the Beav released renderings of the new lodge. The lodge looks stunning, with enough space to handle the crowds, while also being right next to the Harry’s Dream chairlift. The consensus among guests is that it looks awesome, with it looking modern while also giving homage to the architectural style in Beaver Mountian’s base area.

In terms of how construction is going, the only recent update that we’ve gotten was from August 8th. This update showed the digging and foundational work that’s been done so far.

The new lodge is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024. After that, they’ll do some renovations to the Food Service Lodge.

Beaver Mountain remains one of the true independent gems in the United States, and it deserves to be on your skiing bucket list.
