Mystery object washed up on an Australian beach

Australian authorities are investigating the presence of a mystery object that washed up on a remote beach on Tuesday. According to the Associated Press, the current reigning theory is that the small-car-sized object is a piece of space junk.

The object could be from a foreign space launch vehicle and we are liaising with global counterparts who may be able to provide more information.” – Australian Space Agency

An update from the Australian Space Agency posted to twitter states that the mystery object has most likely been identified as a solid rocket motor casing. Reports from CBS News say that members of the European Space Agency believe the object came from an Indian rocket. Based on the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs’ Outer Space Treaty, whoever launched the the object is responsible for its disposal. A government chemical analyst confirmed that the object, which authorities initially treated as hazardous and possibly dangerous to the community, is safe.

My Theories On The Mystery Object

While the mystery object is most likely a piece of space junk, here are a few other theories that could explain it (These are made up and they have absolutely no basis in fact):

1. Parts of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. Authorities have already confirmed that this theory is definitely not true, but who knows! We’ve only found a few pieces so far, so what’s to say there isn’t more floating out there?

2. UFO part (or full UFO). Duh. If we can’t immediately explain it, it has to be aliens. I mean, before washing up on the beach, was it not an “Unidentified Floating Object”? UFO? No?

3. Baby Superman’s space ship (or baby Megamind’s space ship). Yeah, I realize that this more or less falls into UFO, but whatever. Maybe Earth is about to get its mightiest hero when we need one the most. Maybe Earth is about to get its worst villain when we deserve it most. If a baby magically appeared at the front door of your countryside farm in the past few days, try your best to raise it as a good guy, that’s what really matters here.
