If you’re looking to get your skiing fix during the offseason, one option is to head to the desert. Some of your options include the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, White Sands National Park in New Mexico, and the Bruneau Dunes in Idaho.

If you’re wondering what skiing sand dunes are like, this video from Cam Good Times shows the joys of shredding the sand. In the video, Cam & his friend Matt go to the Bruneau Dunes in Idaho. The equipment used includes the Summit GroovN 106cm, the Summit Bamboo 110cm, and the Summit Sk8 96cm. It shows the challenges that this kind of skiing brings, as turning and stopping are fairly tricky. Rad video overall, but I’m a little bummed they didn’t play Darude-Sandstorm.
