Over the weekend, Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah hosted its second annual pond skim. The event featured the typical impressive landings and brutal crashes. Around 35% of the contestants got through the pond, while the others went splish splash.

The winning run was from Shaun Rhodes, who pulled off an insane front flip after skimming through the pond. To pull off a front flip after keeping your body back to get past the pond is an extremely impressive feat. He then jumped in the pond afterwards, which is commendable based on the near-freezing water temperature.

Solitude got two videos of the run from different angles, which you can watch below.

Solitude’s busy spring season continues in the coming weeks, as they’ll be hosting a mogul competition on April 22nd. They’ll be staying open until May 21st, which will be their latest closing date ever.

A video of the best crashes from the pond skim is below.
