If you didn’t get a chance to watch the YETI Natural Selection at Revelstoke yesterday let me tell you, it was one of the most thrilling big mountain events in the history of winter sports. Honestly my heart was in my throat as riders took to the course.

The top section was pretty mellow but once they reached the bench, it got serious quick. There were no practice runs on the face and if you’ve ever been in consequential terrain you’re not familiar with, you were probably feeling pretty anxious as the drone camera circled above providing a perfect rider POV of the fall away approaches the riders were experiencing for the very first time.

Maze like entries, tons of exposure, and thankfully perfect conditions for putting on a show. Here’s Travis Rice absolutely crushing a massive line in his finals match-up against Blake Paul. Frankly one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen in competition.
