Anybody who has traveled west of Denver on I-70 is familiar with The Eisenhower Tunnel.

Most consider it the unofficial start of Colorado Ski Country, considering Loveland Ski Area flanks the tunnel on both sides, and others consider it an absolute pain in the ass.

Love it or hate it, the tunnel is necessary to reach places like Breckenridge, Vail, and Copper Mountain.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is investing $150 million to update and maintain the aging tunnel over the next few years.

Anybody else a little bit confused how some conference rooms, sleeping quarters, and an updated control room is going to cost $150 million…?!
