Some people love to ski, and some people live to ski. Part of thinks I fall into the second group, but when I see stories like this, I begin to question my strength of commitment.

97-year-old Herb Oedel skied his final run yesterday, February 22, at Ski Bradford in Haverhill, MA. According to a social media post by the ski area, this season marks Oedel’s 90th on skis, meaning he’s been hitting the slopes since 1933. He and his wife, 100-year-old Ginny, stop by Bradford yearly.

I just wish this post had been made before Valentine’s Day, so I could have written a card reading “Will You Be The Ginny To My Herb?”
