Skiing in poor visibility can be a frustrating experience. Luckily, Ski Coaching Online posted a video that has helpful tips for these situations. They recommend keeping the tips of your poles on the ground while making your turns, which gives you a sense of what the surface conditions are like. In addition, put pressure on your outside pole, which helps you remain balanced and keeps pressure on your downhill ski.
