Palisades Tahoe knows a thing or two about international skiing competitions. Aside from playing host to the 1960 winter Olympics, they have also hosted a variety of FIS competitions since then. This should come as no surprise. With some of the best steeps in the country, Palisades Tahoe has consistently bred some of our nation’s best skiers.

Now, after a five-year hiatus, Palisades Tahoe is set to welcome back world cup racers this winter for the men’s slalom and giant slalom events as well as a host of concerts that will keep the party going when the race day ends.

Set to take place February 24th through the 26th, Black Jacket Symphony featuring Marc Matel, Noah Kahan, and 311 will headline the Palisades Tahoe Cup.

Fans can check out what Mikaela Shiffrin once described as, “one of, if not the toughest” courses on the women’s circuit, right from the base area then hang for the free concerts as well as fireworks at the KT Base Bar.

Music Headliners Announced for the 2023 Palisades Tahoe Cup

The Black Jet Symphony

On Friday February 24th The Black Jet Symphony featuring Marc Martel will kick the weekend’s festivities off. The Black Jet Symphony has performed over 40 classic rock albums and hand-picks musicians based on the specific album being performed. At Palisade Tahoe, the Black Jet Symphony will present Queen’s “A Night at the Opera” along with a full visual experience to go along with it.

Noah Kahan

Fast forward to Saturday and Noah Kahan will warm up the stage for the final headliner 311. Noah Kahan is no stranger to the Billboard charts as his hit single “Stick Season” hit #2 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles List and has been streamed on Spotify over 92 million times.

311

Last but certainly not least, 311 will bring it all home Saturday night before the firework send off. Formed in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska by five friends, they’re still going strong 33 years later. 311’s unique hybrid mix of rock, rap, reggae, and funk has produced thirteen studio albums, two greatest hits albums, two live albums, three DVD’s and a boxed-set, and have sold over 9 million copies in the U.S.

Palisades Tahoe has long been a popular venue for international ski competitions and with good reason. The terrain at Palisades Tahoe is some of the best in the country, if not the world. Now with the Audi FIS Ski World Cup set to return there in February, they have added a music lineup worthy of its top notch terrain. The Black Jet Symphony, Noah Kahan and 311 will all headline the complementary music festival that is sure to keep you hanging out at the base long after the race day ends.
