Lindsey Vonn became the first woman to ski the legendary Streif downhill course at Kitzbuhel, Austria earlier this week.

Vonn took on the notorious course at night, also a first, and made sure to thank former World Champion Daron Rahlves for mentoring her through the process.

Rahlves won the Streif back in 2003, and is still the only American to ever win the race. He clearly played a huge role in preparing Vonn to tackle what some consider to be the most challenging downhill track in the world.

Check out the Instagram video that Vonn posted paying tribute to Rahlves’ mentorship:

I love seeing men and women supporting each other in sport. It never gets old.

Shout out to Lindsey for her historic run, and for ol’ Rahlvsey for still being a genuine badass!
