Courchevel, France is one of the world’s most popular skiing destinations, but the resort’s airport isn’t suited for landing large planes filled with thousands of tourists.

The airport has a small runway flanked by snow and is constantly barraged with alpine weather.

Pilots have to land on an uphill runway that’s only 537m long.

Landing at Courchevel can be extremely dangerous in the winter, and the video below shows what can happen if a pilot makes a mistake.
