YouTube channel Direct Weather is forecasting extremely cold temperatures to sweep across the continental United States over the next week.
A Polar Vortex is expected to creep down through the Midwest, Great Plains, and eventually the East Coast, which will plunge temps as low as 30 degrees below average on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
A major snowstorm is then expected to follow that could dump as much as 2.5 feet snow from the Northeast to the Pacific Northwest.
