Jordan 8 Chairlift

Sunday River, Maine has just announced that they intend to open their brand new Jordan 8 high-speed lift for the first time on December 17th, 2022.

The Jordan 8 is part of a series of detachable eight-pack chairlifts purchased by Boyne Resorts from Doppelmayr. It follows Big Sky’s Ramcharger 8, Loon’s Kanc 8, and will be joined by the Disciples 8 at Boyne Mountain later this season.

Here are the full details about the Jordan 8 Grand Opening according to Sunday River:

“It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Crews have been hard at work since the closing day of the Jordan Express and now are in the final stretch. There is still work to be done, but we are beyond excited to announce that the Jordan 8 has a tentative opening day of Saturday, December 17. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are raffling off a seat on the first chair on the Jordan 8. Each ticket will cost $5, with all proceeds benefitting the River Fund Maine, and Maine Adaptive. All of the details can be found here.

We cannot wait to welcome you for your first ride on this incredible machine. There is still work to be done, so keep your eyes here, or on the Mountain Report, for any updates, and the official announcement of opening day.”
