The ski resorts open in Summit County, Colorado are slowly expanding their open terrain as the season progresses, but Wolf Creek Ski Area in the San Juan Mountains is already 90% open!

Wolf Creek has seen 40 inches on the season thus far, and the most recent storm that delivered 26 inches has coincidentally brought the mid-mountain settled base to 26 inches.

The ski area is slated to pick up an additional 4-6 inches of snow throughout the week.

Not too shabby for early November, eh?

Area Maps - Wolf Creek Ski Area - Colorado

Wolf Creek currently has 1,440 acres open and 8 lifts running. That’s the most open terrain in the country by a long shot.

From Wolf Creek:

“Alberta, Treasure Stoke, Bonanza, Elma, Charity Jane, Nova & Lynx lifts will open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  90% of terrain will be open.  Lift tickets will be at Local Appreciation rates until further notice: $62 for adults, $43 for seniors and $32 for children.”

For those of you that normally ski in summit county- it might be worth taking a drive down to Wolf Creek this weekend. Go get that open terrain!
