I know humans are capable of building robots, but why do we need to? Has anybody ever stopped and asked that question before?

I’ve seen those scary-ass Boston Dynamics robots that can dance, jump, skip, and do all kinds of other tricks that they want us to think are cute, but I don’t buy it. I’ve watched enough sci-fi movies to know that these are the early warning signs of an AI-controlled robotic race that will seek to destroy human life as we know it.

Now, that might not happen for decades or centuries, but just know that I’m extremely against creating human-like robots because of these fears. That’s why I’m downright petrified to see that CalTech has reincarnated every Cali-bro hipster into a robot that can also fly.

WHY?! WHY DO WE NEED A ROBOT THAT CAN FLY, SKATEBOARD, SLACKLINE, AND WALK AROUND LIKE A NORMAL PERSON?! WE KEEP TREATING THESE SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENTS AS ACHIEVEMENTS, BUT IT’S DOWNRIGHT TERRIFYING. WHAT’S NEXT? ARE ROBOTS GOING TO START SMOKING JOINTS AND WINNING X GAMES MEDALS? WHEN DOES THE MADNESS END?!

I hope you read the above text as me having an existential crisis, because that’s exactly what’s happening. Stop building robots, please?
