Fingers crossed the clouds stay away and the full moon is beaming on full blast on September 9th in New Zealand as Mt. Hutt is hosting a two hour “Moon Ski” event where guests can ski under the stars with lunar light illuminating the slopes.  Looks like a party at the base complete with a fireworks show, so even if its overcast this could still be a blast. Lift tickets are going for around $30 USD. MORE INFO HERE:

“We’re excited to bring you Moon Ski, a “last tracks” experience under the stars! Enjoy two hours of moonlit skiing / riding and epic views with the lifts spinning from 7.30 – 9.30 pm. We will have live music playing from 5pm in the base area. All our cafes will be open and serving for this event. Purchase your Moon Ski ticket here or at Guest Services on the mountain. You are welcome to stick around after 4pm or head up after dark. This event is weather dependent, please keep an eye on the Snow Report for any updates on the day.”
