Blair Gresky was hiking in Grand Park, WA when he heard a loud rumble in the distance. He looked up at Mt. Rainier towering above the surrounding landscape and spotted a huge avalanche roaring down the face of the mountain.
He spoke with local news agency KING 5 about the spectacular video he captured of the avalanche:
I know I’m supposed to be this “all-knowing, super-important, really cool” ski blogger, but I’m still fascinated when I see snow this late in the year.
It’s been over 90 degrees everyday here in the Mid-Atlantic for over a week, and I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that there are mountain peaks still blanketed by feet of snow.
I guess I’m just dumb. There’s really no way to sugar coat it.
