We’ve seen a ton of footage of BASE jumpers on proximity fights (buzzing as close as possible past stationary objects) but they aren’t the only flyers who enjoy the thrill of weaving through the mountains. Check out Swiss professional pilot and glider champion Davide Giovanelli as he dances with thermals across the Alps. He seems to be in control of the situation and makes this look relatively smooth but as someone who knows absolutely diddly-squat about gliders this makes my palm sweat.
