Telluride Regional Airport offers spectacular views as pilots touch down in North America’s second highest airport.
Planes are flanked by feet of snow, white-capped mountains, and even views of Telluride Resort’s ski trails.
Because of its high altitude (9,078′), and short runway, the airport is one of the most challenging approaches in the world.
Pilot Robert Boyle and Jim Siverts landed a DA42 Twinstar with ease back in 2011, and posted the spectacular footage for us to enjoy.
