“Man this ride was a rollercoaster! The team aspect of this made it a really unique skating experience, skating sweeping corners and chicanes connected at over 50mph takes huge trust. Achieving this sat beyond our comfort zones and we all had to train together to pull it out the bag on the day, with the madness of a camera crew all around us, while having to pre-nominate the record run before skating it for Guinness! 70+ years of DH skating in the team, UKDH. This whole project gave Miles of Smiles.” –Pete Connolly

Tidy little record set in North Yorkshire, England where 4 skaters linked hands for 100 meters while traveling at 52.78 mph. Members of the Virgin Media Speed Demons team went down a hill in Dalby Forest to break the record. The record setting team included Pete Dashwood-Connolly, Jonathan Braun, Aaron Skippings and Jennifer Alina Schauerte. Pete Dashwood-Connolly also holds the speed record for single person skateboard at an incredible 91.17 mph:

“It feels great to go down in history as a multiple Guinness World Records title holder and we would like to thank Virgin Media for giving us this opportunity and the tools to help us become record breakers.”
