A family in Western Australia experienced a Jaws-like terrifying moment when a great white shark decided to take a bite out of the families boat engine. David Tuckfield, along with his wife and 14-year-old son, spotted the shark while fishing south of Perth. The shark is estimated to be about 4 meters (~13 feet) long.

The shark circled the boat for about an hour, sinking its teeth into the boat’s motor and the berley cage several times.

“Such a big majestic creature, you know? We don’t appreciate them till you see them up close, and it is their playground.” David Tuckfield to 9 News Australia

Leave it to the Australians to come out of something like this appreciating the beast that damaged their boat. In all seriousness, this would be a pretty darn cool experience.
