Mike Posner has been on a tear lately when it comes to inspiring content. He famously walked across the country a couple of years ago, and survived a serious rattlesnake bite in the process.

He just released a new music video called Home in which he summits Mt. Everest. The video is made of short clips from his journey, and uses text to explain what he was going through during the process.

I appreciated how Posner pays tribute to the Sherpas that made his expedition to the summit of Mt. Everest possible, and how he was able to reflect on the feat. Summiting Everest wasn’t something cool or fun for him to do. It was a soul-searching journey that has made him a better man.

He doesn’t share too many details, but he shows a clip of an avalanche that swept through their camp looked extremely gnarly. Thankfully they all made it out okay.

The song isn’t half-bad either!

I’m not 100% positive, but this might be the first music video ever recorded on Mt. Everest. That’s kind of badass to say isn’t it? Posner didn’t use flashy cars, a big boat, or a scantily-dressed women.

He climbed the world’s tallest mountain instead.
