Not an anniversary you want to celebrate, but it’s important to remember and be cognizant of the looming dangers of living inside an avalanche zone. The story of the 1982 slide inspired local Tahoe filmmakers Jared Drake and Steven Siig to create “Buried” a documentary film that shares the firsthand stories of those who lived through the deadly slide through.
