It’s no secret that I-70 west of Denver can be a nightmare on weekends and holidays.
Everybody and their mother is trying to escape the city for a weekend in the mountains and can you blame them?
Arapahoe Basin Ski Area has launched a couple of unique options for reaching the ski area that can alleviate congestion on the highway and in the parking lot.
The first option is carpooling with TreadShare. The app is based in Colorado, and it’s primary focus is connecting drivers and riders that are heading to the same destination.
There’s no extra cost, and riders/drivers just split the cost of gas. Pretty neat, right? It seems like a great way make your drive up to the mountain cheaper, a chance to make new friends, and it frees up an extra vehicle from traveling on the roads. It’s a win-win-win.
To make the deal even sweeter, A-Basin is giving away two season passes to people using TreadShare! Check out the video below.
“Happy #SustainabilitySunday on a Monday!Do you want to win a free A-Basin season pass for the 2022-23 winter season? Check out this video to learn how you can win that pass through our partner TreadShare!”
You can also reach A-Basin by using the Snowstang Bus. Busses run every Saturday and Sunday from December 18th-May 1st. Roundtrips only cost $25, and you can catch a bus right in Denver.
This is a fantastic option for saving some money on getting to the hill. You can also nap on the way home after a long day shredding laps on Pali. That might be the worth of the price of the ticket alone.

No matter what you do, make sure you’re not meeting up with 4 friends all driving separate cars. You don’t wanna be those people who didn’t carpool or take a bus.
Help the environment, help the roads, and spend less time sitting in traffic!
