Gin Chao moved from Beijing, China to the US with $80 in his pocket. Despite his father’s disapproval of spending his days skiing, Gin was able to pursue his passion for telemark skiing in Utah with the success of his business, Lone Pine Bakery, and prove to his father that you can pursue more than one passion in life. Gin has been 100+ day skier at Snowbird for the last 32 years and judging by seemingly permanent smile…he’s had a pretty darn good time doing it. Wonderful story, wonderful man. This makes me smile.
