Gatlinburg, TN is one of the most-visited places in North America thanks to nearby Great Smoky National Park. The park attracts millions of tourists each year, and the bear population that inhabits the mountains have grown accustomed to human interactions.
The crazy video below shows a domesticated black bear just strolling through a hotel area behind an unsuspecting woman. The people recording shout to her, but she was never in any danger. This bear is searching for food and open trash cans to dive through.
“Occurred on July 25, 2021 / Gatlinburg, Tennessee, USA “While vacationing in Gatlinburg, TN, USA, in July 2021, a black bear would visit hotels and get snacks from the trash cans. A lady distracted by her phone walked in front of the bear. We tried yelling to get the lady’s attention. She ended up stopping at her hotel room and noticed the bear, that was arm’s length away from her. She turned and took a picture. The bear knocked over the trash can, had a snack, wandered a bit more, before peacefully returning back to the forest.”
