Arapahoe Basin just raised $30,000 for victims of the devastating Marshall Fire that ripped through Boulder County, CO back in December. Well done!
An anonymous A-Basin skier donated his original Pallavicini chair back to the ski area to be put up for auction. The auction’s proceeds are all going to victims of the Marshall Fire.
The chair sold for $18,500.06, but the new owners ultimately donated $20,000 to the cause. Arapahoe Basin added another $10,000 donation thanks to lift tickets sold on January 15th.
Cheers to Arapahoe Basin, the anonymous donor, and the winning bidder for doing such an awesome thing. It was the good news I needed this morning.

The winning bid for the Pali Chair was $18,500.06 but, ultimately, the new chair owners donated a total of $20,000 to the wildfire relief fund. Arapahoe Basin will add an additional $10,000 donation to the same fund, thanks to lift ticket sales from January 15. pic.twitter.com/yftKARFpFX
