Spotting wildlife while out in the mountains is one of the best parts of skiing in my opinion. You typically have to venture away from the resorts to really spot anything notable, but a curious critter will pop up every now and a again.
Panorama Mountain Resort in British Columbia, Canada shared two pictures of a wild lynx that visited the resort over the weekend. The cat “only stopped by for a brief visit”, and nobody was harmed from the encounter.
We had a visitor today on the mountain! 🐱🐾 This lynx only stopped by for a brief visit. After a quick chat with ski patrol on Showoff, and an inspection of the Timber Tour competition to, they returned back the the forest. #PureCanada

Must have been a pretty neat experience for those who saw the lynx dashing across the trails on Saturday.
What’s the coolest animal encounter you’ve had while skiing or snowboarding?
