Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the French government never allowed ski resorts to open for guests during the winter of 2020/2021. Pro skier Sam Favret took this opportunity to turn the abandoned slopes of the resorts into his own personal playground. His new short film, ‘Flow’, is a visual masterpiece of that experience using incredible drone footage.

It seems like the possibilities are endless with modern drone technology. Remember how pro skiers could only get overhead shots by using a helicopter not that long ago? Now you just need about $1000 for a top-level drone, and a halfway decent pilot and you can create ski movie magic.

Hope you enjoy ‘Flow’ as much as I did!

“FLOW, an aerial and symphonic journey with skier Sam Favret, in the heart of the closed resort of Chamonix, during this very special winter of 2021. A dose of unreality, serenity and Sam’s powerful skiing. But above all the pleasure of rediscovering a playground back to its wild state.”
