I feel like chairlift auctions and raffles happen fairly often, but you don’t usually have the chance to grab a quad chair. Wildcat Mountain is currently auctioning off fifty chairs on Givergy to support numerous charities. These charities include City of Berlin Recreation and Parks, the Town of Gorham Recreation and Parks, and the EpicPromise Foundation.” The lift infrastructure is still in place, but Wildcat is replacing the individual chairs due to them being nearly twenty-five years old. The Wildcat Express was installed in 1997 and has been a staple of the mountain since. In the summer, gondola chairs are put back on for sightseeing rides. The summit was originally serviced by a year-round gondola and a double chairlift.

You can place a bid on one of the chairs here. The auction ends tomorrow(Thursday, November 18) at 12 pm EST. At the time of this writing, the lowest prices for a chair I can find are around $175. If you win, the chairs have to be picked up on November 20th.Image Credits: Wildcat Mountain, New England Ski History
