I’m not a snowboarder, but I literally have goosebumps after watching this trailer for the new documentary coming to HBO about the godfather of snowboard- Jake Burton Carpenter.
I just respect the hell of out of Jake’s ability to persevere through the bullshit, stay dedicated to the sport he loved, and ultimately bring it to the world-renowned sport that it is today.
We as skiers also owe Jake a huge debt for bringing winter sports to the mainstream. Skiing has undoubtedly benefitted one way or another for the explosion of snowboarding over the last few decades.
I can’t wait wait to watch this doc when it drops on HBO MAX on November 9th. Check out the trailer and get pumped!
